Is this the soul connection I have been praying?

I am 11/4/61 metal ox snake hr. My friend is 2/19/65. He is the one who came to me..he took my interest and we get along very well. We've been on dates. However, he goes hot then cold then hot! After time, I ask. He said he likes me a lot but all life he likes be by himself. Yet he does continue with me. I have started to fall for him & feel he has hurts. I know, from me I will be loyal & good for him. Will he always to me? Do you see our relationship going further and marriage? If marriage, when? He is very special...hard to get me this way!!
