If you will go to a third country or region instead of the last one you come from after staying for 2 days in Shanghai, you may be eligible for the 144 hour free transit there and the no visum will be need. But you’d better double check that with the cruise ship company if you will travel by cruise ship all the way.

Did you book these tours in Shanghai at a chinese travel agency?
If so you can enjoy the 15 day free stay when you leave with the same boat.
