About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

i'm going to melbourne on december 26th... i will stop 13 hours in shanghai layover....

can i get the 144 visa to go outside the airport and visit the city on that day?? thanks

Giovanni, yes, you can enjoy free transit in Shanghai, but because you just stop there for 13 hours, you may be given the 24 hour direct transit, and then you need to apply for a free temporary stay permit inside the airport, and then you can go to visit the city.
