About:China Customs Declaration

What about sending christmas gifts?

We have just sent our son, who is working in China, 2 pairs of shoes, some pyjamas and sweets as Christmas gifts. Should he have to pay tax on them?

As I know, one is required to pay the tax if items in each parcel value more than CNY1,000. If the total value of these stuff is over that limit. Maybe you can separate it into two packages to avoid being taxed.

Did your package go through ok? We sent our Christmas package via FedEx to our daughter and it's still not through.

usually it's no problem for small items. But sometimes may need to pay customs duty.

If by FedEx, should be 3-5days. I usually get packages from Canada about 2weeks time, just via Canada post
