if i buy the ticket from beijing to harbin

can i get a ticket at the train station in beijing by myself the day that i have to go?

You can buy the ticket at the railway station by yourself. However, as I know, the ticket for Harbin trips are very popular in winter. Maybe you need to check the availability very often. If the ticket is about to sold out, you'd better book online in advance.
