About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

So, just confirming, if I fly from HK to Shanghai, stay less than 144 hours

and use an onward ticket to Germany (british Pp) I can obtain the 144 hours free transit. I will also stop over again on the way back from Germany on the way to Hong Kong so can get another transit visa on the way back. Is this correct?

That is correct. In fact, there are no limitations on how many times you can use the provision.
