About:China Private Visit Visa
I will be working under a Z visa. Can my wife join me and work from home in Beijing under S1 type?

Your wife can join you on under an S1 type, but she cannot work on the S1 type. If she wants to work in China, a work Z type is needed.0

Thanks Neal. Appreciated. Would you know if Z would only be provided if the employer has an office in China? Her employer might want to retain her (working from home in Beijing) but they don't have an office in China.0

You mean she won’t work for a company in China? If yes, she may not need to get a work Z type. You can go to the local PSB to confirm that.0
