About:Chinese Embassy in Slovak Republic

Hi, I'm a Slovak citizen traveling from New Zealand to Prague on 1st January through China.

One layover is in Shangai but the other one in Schanzen so I guess I need Transit visa (G). The only option is to apply in person? Can I do so in Wellington, NZ? Thanks

If your total layover in China is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit. No transit G type will be needed then.
But if it is more than 24 hours, you need to apply for a transit G type. You can apply in person, or ask others to apply on your behalf. If the area you live belongs to the consular district of the consulate general of China in Wellington, you can apply from there.
