how do i apply directly to the embassy to get a tourist visa for my visit to Beijing?

is there a website?

You should first prepare the required documents including your passport and its copy, the completed application form affixed with a passport-style photo, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. Afterwards, submit the application to the embassy of China to apply for it.
