About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Phuket to U.K. via Shanghai

I will be flying from Phuket via Shanghai to the U.K. later this month. I will not have a physical ticket but have email confirmation of my onward journey from Shanghai. Is this enough? Also if I land in Shanghai on 24th December morning 10.20am can I fly out on the 30th December at 11.30am? Thank you for your advice

You'll be fine if you have a confirmation with your ticket number on it. (In fact, airlines stopped issuing paper tickets years ago.) You can actually stay in Shanghai until the 31st since the duration of stay starts from the day after arrival.
