So even if im less than 24 hours in Guangzhou where do i apply or get 24 hr direct transit

even if i leave the Guangzhou airport to catch my private cab to hk
i still cross the border
will i still not require a visa

If you will take a private cab to HK, I'm afraid the 24-hour direct transit is not applicable because when you apply for it, you should have a confirm ticket for exiting from mainland China.
