About:2025 / 2026 / 2027 Public Holiday Calendar

Yangshuo and Beijing during Labour days?

We plan to be (part of the trip) from 29 April to 1 May 2017 in Yangshuo and after to travel to Beijing (2-5 May ). Traveling will be by train(night train) or by plane (from Liuzhou).

Can you tell me if I should worry about the crowds? Can you give me some tips?

Apr. 29 ~ May 1 is the Labor Holiday and there must be big crowds in Yangshuo. It is suggested you book tickets for train and plane in advance as it might be a little hard to come by during that time. Also remember to start your trip early in the morning during the 3-day holiday to avoid the heavy transportation load.

Please tell me which option I should take(less risky and crowdy ):
1. st May - bus Yangshuo-Liuzhou and Flight Liuzhou-Beijing (I am a bit worry I don't catch the bus to Liuzhou) or
2. 1 st May - train(night or fast) Guilin - Beijing (I am worry about obtaining of tickets for train).

Like a conclusion:
We have this itinerary (19 April 5 May) : Shanghai- Xitang-West Lake-Huangshan-Guilin-Yangshuo-Beijing. Do you think is compromised my trip because of this Labour day period or should I change the dates or places ? Thank you very much for info. This is really helpful for me.

Other questions: do you think I can find better option instead Guilin and Yangshuo during the Labour days? ( to have the same charm and with similar scenary(rice terraces, maybe rivers, etc) but less crowded)
Should I avoid Great Wall and Forbidden City on 3 and 4 May 2017?

You have chosen some of the most popular destinations of China. But maybe the timing is not very appropriate in order to have a relaxing tour. If possible, it is suggested you avoid covering April 29~ May 1 on your schedule.
