About:Chinese Embassy in Chile

I'm an Hondurian Passport holder, do I need a visa to enter to Mainland China for less than 24Hrs?

I'm living in Taipei and I'm planning to travel to New York City; I wondering whether I need a visa to enter to Mainland China for less than 24hrs.
I'm a USA green card holder and a resident certificate holder from Taiwan which expire in March 23rd, 2017.
My first trip will be for transit coz it will be take less than 3 hours and the second trip will take around 21hrs from evening at 20:00Hrs to next day at 17:00hrs, so I pretend to take a rest in a friend house in Shanghai.

Samuel, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in mainland China each time, so no visa will be needed. Nice trip! You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at Shanghai airport if you want to leave the airport and stay at your friend’s house.

Miguel thanks a lot for the advice, I deeply appreciate it. Should I apply for the free permit when I'll go through the immigration at the Shanghai airport?
Thanks again.

You should apply for it from the immigration inspection office at the airport. You can find it by following the direction boards.
