can i travel from qufu to tai'an by train, if so, what train?

Also from the train/bus station in Tai'an I'd like to get to Mt Taishan.  How can I get there?

Yes, you can take a bullet train to Tai'an from East Railway Station. It takes about 20 minutes. A second class seat costs CNY 29.5; a first class seat costs CNY 54.5. There are many train departures, such as train number G452, G122, and G288. Upon arrival, take bus line 62 to Tianwai Village, where you can start to climb the mountain. :)
