About:A Word of Welcome

I am arriving from KUL on AirAsia X D7316 at Beijing Capital Airport in T2 on Dec 3 at 1:15am.

I need to take a connecting flight on United/Air China 819 on Dec 3 at 11:25am. Since AirAsia is not a partner of United/AirChina 819, do I still have to go through immigration to get my checked bag? If so will I face any problems transferring to the United/AirChina flight since I have a Malaysian passport?
Thank you

According to your situation, it's an international to international transfer from T2 to T3 at PEK. You don't need to reclaim your baggage. And you don't need to apply for a visa. You can enjoy the 24 hours visa-free policy because your stopover is just about 10 hours.

BTW, the correct transfer procedures are the following:
Flight Arrival - Transfer Procedures - Stamped on the Boarding Pass - Security Check - Custom Inspection - Flight Waiting and Boarding
