Hong Kong Visa - Sponsor Letter

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have already done a Hotel Booking through Agoda.com and my sole intention to travel to Hong Kong is Leisure. I have no relative nor on a business trip, hence unable to get you an invitation letter. Also the Hotel I booked, refused to get the Sponsor Document signed as I have not directly dealt with them but via agoda. They agreed to confirm the booking via an email. Will this be sufficient??

Or else do I actually need to submit a Sponsor Document as I already have a booking confirmation from Agoda.com and I have paid in full for my accommodation there.

Please advise as early as possible.

Kind Regards
Shamali

Shamali, it is sufficient. The sponsor is not mandatory.

Thank you Billy for the quick response. I visited China Embassy today and the lady in the counter immediately told me that they cannot issue the visa without the sponsor documents and the Covering letter from the hotel is not sufficient. Can you please clarify this as a matter of urgency. Thank you again..
