Release of Train Tickets (Nov to Dec)

I am wondering why for mid-January haven't been released yet. Usually it's 60 days before, I read.
Is it to do with Chinese New Year? Today is Nov. 26th. Should I try to book them in advance, if this is the case and they sell out quickly?
