Arrive to Beijing from Prague and then to Taipei via Shanghai. a) am I eligible for 72hours visa free transit in Beijing?b) am I eligible for 72hours free transit in Shanghai?(I mean either Beijing or Shangahai not 72hours transit in Beijing and 72hours in Shanghai)

Josef, no, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit because you will transit in Both Beijing and Shanghai. You cannot enjoy 72 hour free transit in Shanghai either. If you want to use the 72 hour free transit in Beijing or Shanghai, you should travel like PRG-PEK-SHA-TPE, or PRG- SHA-TPE. You can only transit in one Chinese city.
