We plan to go Kunming Shilin Stone Forest from Jinjiang Hotel nearby Main Railway Station.

What is the bus number that we can take to East Bus Station and what will be the approximate price if we take a cab?

Take bus line 47 from Beijing Road (Jinjiang Hotel) to Baita Intersection (East Renmin Road) Station. Then, change to bus line 237 to Hongqiao Overpass East Station, and you can see East Bus Station. If by cab, the fare may be CNY 20 to 25. Upon arrival, you can take a bus to Stone Forest. ;)
