About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

My plan travel from BKK-Guangzhou - Hong Kong - BKK, Can i use 72hrs transit visa ?

But from Guangzhou - Hong Kong by Train.

Dah, if so, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Guangzhou because the 72 hour free transit is only applicable to flight travelers, but you will go to HK by train. In addition, if you hold Thailand passport, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit either because of your nationality.

No, he cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Guangzhou if he will go to HK by train or van. If he fly to HK from Guangzhou, he can use the 72 hour free transit.
