Transit Visa to Hong Kong please

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an Iranian citizen (Iranian passport holder) traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Los Angeles. My flight has a transit in Hong Kong for 2 hours.
Kindly advice if I do need to obtain a transit visa for Hong Kong.
For your information I do have obtained my U.S. visa already.
Appreciate your prompt response.

Atousa, you need to apply for a transit entry permit for 2-hour transit in HK.

Alan, but I have received this response from Immigration Department of Hong Kong:
visas are always required for the nationals of Iran if they intend to come to the HKSAR for whatever purposes (except in direct transit by air and when the person does not leave the airport transit area)
Your answer is confusing me.
