About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Will I be able to go out the airport..

I am a US citizen passport holder. Flying to the Philippines and will have 12 hrs layover in Beijing airport.. Flying back to the US, will be the same thing, will have 12 hrs layover in Beijing airport. Will I be able to go out the airport without any problem, to be able to enjoy the city?

You can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing in both directions. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the immigration office and then you can leave the airport.
