I am arriving into Shanghai from a cruise and fly home the same day will I need a China Visa?

Mary, if the last country you come from is not your home country, namely if you travel like country A-Shanghai-your home country, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai and then no entry permit will be needed.
