Where do I find a place to rest / sleep during a 7 hours layover in Guangzhou Airport?

room to hire or lounge access?

You can stay at the Hourly Lounge beside the metro station, on B1 of the terminal building. It costs CNY 40 to 50 per hour between 8:00 and 22:00; CNY 240 to 300 for a whole night from 22:00 to 8:00. Have a try! :)

I should have also said we'll be in internatnional transfers - not entering China or leaving the airport. Where can one access a rest in International Transfer area?

Oh, I see. You may stay at the lounge on 3F, East-I Bridge of the terminal building. It is for international first-class passengers. You can take a shower, surf the internet, and have a rest there. You may dial 86-020-86132888 for detailed information. Good luck! :)
