About:Special Services of Hong Kong Airport Express

Can you please enlighten me regarding the difference of Octopus Card and Airport Express?

I will be travelling from HKIA to Holiday Inn Express HK Soho and staying for 2 nights;
Attractions that I plan to visit are Disney, Madam Tussauds, side trip to Macau and on 3rd night I will be in Holiday Inn Express Mongkok.
Will it be necessary to purchase both an Octupus Card and Airport Express?

Thank you very much.

Hi, dear! The former is the multi usage transportation card in HK. The latter is the railway system between the airport and downtown area. Just buy a Standard Octopus Card, and you can use it to ride on Airport Express train, MTR, Light Rail, buses, ferries, trams, taxis, etc.

To get the card, each adult pays HKD 50 as the deposit, and HKD 100 as the stored value; each child aged 3 to 11 pays HKD 50 as the deposit, and HKD 20 as the stored value.
