About:China Consulate in Houston

What need to bring for renew passport.

Hi. My husband holding China passport and we need to renew the passport. 1.Where should we go ? We live at Georgia. 2.What document we need to bring? 3.How long the process? Can the passport be mail back to us or we need to pick up ?

1. Zhou, you should go to the consulate general of China in Huston to renew your passport.
2. Those documents are needed: the application form, 4 recently-taken passport-style photos, his residence permit in USA, copy of his Chinese ID card, and personal statement, as well as his passport and copy of its data page.
3. It will take about 15 working days. The passport cannot be mailed back to you. You can pick it up in person, or find someone else to pick for you.

Personal statement refers to a simple introduction of the applicant, and the reason for passport renewal.
You can get the application form at the official website of the consulate general of PRC in Huston.
