I will arrive from Hong Kong, which is the closest train station? Do I need to buy the ticket for the entrance before I arrive to the Exhibtion?

You may take a train to Guangzhou East Railway Station from Hung Hom Railway Station (about 2 hours). Upon arrival, take tourist bus line 3 to Convention & Exhibition Center. You can book the ticket by dialing +86-20-11185. Or, just buy the ticket on the spot upon arrival. It costs CNY 50 per person by the way.
