About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

French travelling from America to China

Hello, I am a French citizen therefor I have a French passeport at the end of the month I'll be traveling from America to China for 5 days (I am going to Beidahu, Jiuquan). Is the 144 hour free transit apply to me or should I apply for the L visa?
Thank you for your answer.
Kind Regards
Audrey

Audrey, no, the 144 hour free transit cannot cover your trip because currently, the 144 hour policy is carried out in Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu only. You need to apply for a tourist L type in advance for that.
