VISA French student in Korea

Hello,

I am a French student. I am currently doing one semester in South Korea in Busan. I would like to go to Shanghai for a very short period of time. Do you know for which kind of entry permit I can apply? If I do a round trip from Busan to Shanghai and back to Busan can I have a transit entry permit? Or the G type?
Thanks in advance.

Ben, you cannot apply for a transit G type because it is not a transit if you travel like that.
Actually, if you can make a travel like Busan-Shanghai (Stay for less than 6 days)-HK-Busan, you will be eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. In this case, no entry permit will be needed.
Otherwise, you need to apply for a tourist L type entry permit in advance.

It's perfect! And I need to fulfill any document before my flight? I just need my flight tickets to prove that I will stay less than 6 days? Can you tell me, which document i shall take with me? A letter from the person that will host me maybe?
PS: I will stay at a friends place

No, you don’t need.
You just need to inform the airlines that you want to enjoy 144 hour free transit in Shanghai before you board the plane in Busan. You need to bring your passport, and the air tickets. If you can get an invitation letter, you can provide it.
