Can I take hdmi surge protector along wth me from china to India ?

I am flying tomorrow afternoon from hk to Cochin and I am planning to take the samples of 50pcs of hdmi surge protector along with me. It weighs 3.5 kg and purchase price is 55yuan. As it's above 2000 CNY, Do I need to declare at the customs ? If someone can guide me , Appreciate it !! Thanks
