About:Hong Kong Visa Application

I am a Sri Lankan (sanjeewa) wish to visit HK to meet a friend.

My Friend is not a residence of HK and he is a French residence wish to meet me at HK. do i need a sponsor for my tourist visit or is it enough to fill the ID 1003B form other documents related to my self. if i do not wish to use a package tour can i just state the place we wish to stay (hotel details). thank you

Sanjeewa, you don’t need to find a sponsor. You just need to fill out the ID 1003A form, and provide other documents. It has nothing to do with ID 1003B form if you don’t have a sponsor.
You can just write the hotel details as the place you wish to stay.

Actually, a sponsor may help a little for your application.
\the sponsor should be of the age of 18 or above, a bona fide Hong Kong resident and acquainted with the applicant.
