longmen grottoes at night

Question

would like to make a day trip from xian to the grottoes and would like to stay to see the view at night. what time does the lights come on at the grottoes? how long will it take to explore the place?

As I know, the night view will start at 18:30, so the lights will be on at that time. In summer, the time may be a little earlier. The night view is till 22:00. I suggest you make full use of the time to enjoy the grottoes, and they are worthwhile.
