If you go to HK for tourism purpose, you can apply for a tourist entry permit. The first thing is to prepare the required documents containing the application form, a half-length color photo, copy of your passport, proof of your financial standing, transportation and accommodation arrangement and your travel itinerary. And then submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it.

Thanks for replying.

I have to visit Chinese University of Hong Kong for 4-5 days in January and in June. I have got my invitation letter.

I am holding an Indian passport, and Indians can visit without entry permit for 14 days,
Is it true?
need I still to get any sort of permission or other documents?
How I will have to satisfy the immigration officer upon arrival at Hong Kong about no criminal cases, funding etc etc. I mean what all documents I will have to keep with me while travel to hong kong.

Kapil, yes, Indian passport holders can enjoy free entry to HK for a stay of not exceeding 14 days. You just need to provide your passport, the return ticket and enough travel fees.
