About:China Transit Visa

UK passport holder. I am getting a flight from Hong Kong to Beijing, followed by a train to Dandong

and then a final train out of China to Pyongyang. I'm also returning to Hong Kong in the same way. As I am not staying in China for more than 24 hours on either journey am I eligible for free transit or would I need to have a double entry visa?

Matthew, you mean you will travel like HK-Beijing-Dandong-Pyongyang-Dandong-Beijing-HK, and your stay in Beijing and Dandong will be less than 24 hours respectively? If yes, you will qualify for the 24 hour direct transit in China. And you don’t need to apply for an entry permit in advance.
