tourist visa at guangzhou pier

Question

I am a HK permanent resident card holder after 25 years working in Hong and my wife and I, both New Zealanders now live in NewZealand.We will be passing through Hong Kong CLK airport from Europe and wonder if we can catch the CLK to Guangzhou ferry or Jetfoil and get a Chinese Visa at Guangzhou pier. One of our HK born sons now works in Guangzhou and we.would like to visit him. Thank you in advance.for.your thoughts. Russ

Russ, I’m afraid you cannot get VOA at Guangzhou port. You need to apply for a tourist L type or other entry permit in advance for that.
