About:index

Based on transit at Guangzhou Airport of about 9.5 hours is it enough to catch a tour downtown?

I touch down on 7 Dec 16 1150 hrs and will travel to LA from here at 2130 hrs. Based on the transit time, is it enough to go for a short trip in down town?

It takes around an hour to transfer from the airport to downtown area and you need to get back to the airport at least two hours prior to your flight departure. Therefore, the actual visiting time is about 3-4 hours. It is not recommended to go to any sightseeing spot during this short period. You can take subway line 3 from the airport to Yantang Stop, then change to line 6 to Beijing Road, where is a famous place for shopping and tasting local snacks.

Or you may choose to take subway line 3 from the airport to West Tiyu Road and visit some shopping malls like Teemall, TaiKoo Hui. Then go to Zhujiang New Town to see the appearance of the Guangzhou Tower at a distance, and then the musuem, library and theater before going back to the airport.
