Travelling to Guangzhou from Shenzhen. Yau Ma Tei to LoWu takes about 1 hour by MTR.

Another option is travel to Guangzhou from Hong Kong Hung Hom. How long is it from Yau Ma Tei to Hung Hom by MTR?

You can take Tsuen Wan Line from Yau Ma Tei Station to Tsim Sha Tsui Station. Then transfer to West Rail Line to Hung Hom Station, Exit D6. The duration is about 25 mins with the fare of 5.3 HKD per person.

Thankyou - does that train leave from HKIA? And then it gets us to the train station that goes to Guangzhou?

From HKIA to Hung Hom Station, you can take airport express to Tsing Yi Station first. Then take Tung Chung Line to Nam Cheong Station and West Rail Line to Hung Hom Station. The whole way takes around 55 mins.
