About:Passport

My (USA) passports expires 6 months after trip. Should I renew BEFORE or AFTER?

I plan to travel to PRC from 22 March-3 April 2017. My (USA) passports expires in 10 October 2017. Do I have to renew BEFORE or AFTER the trip?

Olivares, you don’t need to renew your passport before the trip. You can renew it after that.

I believe the USA requires you have at least 6 months remaining on your passport before issuing a visa. I think I would renew my passport as soon as possible because as I'm sure you realize that things can and do happen so it's always best to be prepared.
