About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I arrive in Shanghai by cruise ship Q/Mary in March 2017 at approx 8.00hr

then depart the SAME DAY at approx 18.00hr. Is a transit visa satisfactory for this ? I hold a British passport valid to 2012.

Ken, if the ship will go to a third country or region rather than the last one it came from after staying in Shanghai, you may be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there, but you’d better confirm that with the cruise ship company.
