change of passport, will i have to apply for another visa ?

I am processing my visa application, however I will be changing my passport before I travel as it expires in seven months.

Patrick, I advise you to renew your passport when you are in China to save unnecessary troubles. In most China ports, you can use both passports to enter as long as the information is the same. But if possible, please follow my advice, just to play safe.
