About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Hi, I am currently holding HKSAR passport but it will expired March 2017.

However, I wont be back to HK anytime soon.
My questions are:
How can I renew my passport in Australia (Melbourne)? What documents do I need to provide? what is the cost? how long it takes?

Sying, the first thing is to prepare the required materials including your passport and HK ID card, a passport-style photo, and the application form as well as other documents the consular officers consider necessary. And then submit the application to the consulate general of PRC in Melbourne or post the application to HK immigration department directly.
32-page passport costs HKD 370 and 48-page one cost HKD 460.
It may take 4 – 8 weeks.
