is Transit visa required for Philippine Passport holder transiting in Shanghai for 19 hours. i'm a Permanent Resident of Canada.

Zandro, if you transit in mainland China for less than 24 hours, the transit permit is not necessary to get. In case that you want to go outside of the airport, you can just apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport immigration counter.
