About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

My executive is traveling from Atlanta to Shanghai-Pudong next month.

He arrives in China on Monday and departs to India on Wednesday. Is he eligible to get a 72-hour visa-free transit??? If so, how many apply for it for him? Thanks so much!

Which nationality has your executive?
51 countries qualify for the 72/144h free transit.

If he has one of them he can use the 144h twov in Shanghai and can apply for the permit at the immigration.

Yes, he's an American citizen. Do you mean the immigration at the USA airport or the immigration at Shanghai airport?
