About:China Customs Declaration

Do store packaged peanuts out of the shell carried in checked bags need to be declared?

We are wanting to bring packaged and store sealed beef jerky and dried peanuts with us on our trip. Is this allowed and if so, is it something we need to declare?

If you want to take cooked peanuts, there is no need to decare. If they are not cooked, a declaration is required for they should go through quarantine check.
But beef jerky is not allowed to pass the customs. Don't take that.

Our Asian tour company said as long as the beef jerky was bought in a store and sealed from the factory,
it would be allowed. We are packing it in our checked bag so I will report if it gets taken or left alone.
Thanks for your quick reply about the jerky and peanuts!
