About:Guangzhou to Hong Kong Train

24-hours Transit Visa

I'm from Saudi Arabia and staying in Hong Kong. I'm planning an international trip departing from Guangzhou airport. Do I need a visa if I travel by train from HK to Guangzhou East and then take a taxi to the airport? Can I benefit from the 24-hour direct transit exemption in this case?

The policy says it should be ok if you had the confirmed the ticket for a third country and stay within 24 hours. However, I noticed some where syas that you need to stay in the port. So for the transfer from Guangzhou East to the airport, you may need to apply a Temporary Stay Permit.
