travel from xian to mt.huashan by coming winter time.

Question

Can i get some info about travelling from Xian to Mt.Huashan?1. Do recommend a trip to Mt.Huashan during coming winter at mid of December?2. How long estimated to complete all Mt.Huashan ,can it be day trip?3. How much cost for train & entrance from Xian to Mt.Huashan?4. Is it convenient travel by train to Mt.Huashan, any public transpot from train station to     Mt.Huashan?

It is not suggested to climb Mt. Huashan in winter as the temperature on the mountain is very low and the road may be slippery if there is heavy snow. Will you climb the mountain on foot or take the cable car? It can be done in one day if you take cable car. Otherwise, you may need to stay one night on the mountain. According to my experience, it normally needs 6-7 hours to climb the mountain for one way. The high speed train ticket fare to Huashan is CNY54.5 per person (second class seat) and the entrance ticket fee is CNY180 from March to November and CNY100 from December to next February. It is convenient to travel by train to Mt. Hua, there is also regular Tourism Bus Line 1 at Xian railway station to the mountain, but it is out of service at present.
