About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

TWOV From Indonesia to Hong Kong to Beijing and back to Indonesia

Greetings! Would TWOV in Beijing apply if I fly Jakarta to Hong Kong to Beijing (stop 72 hours) then back to Jakarta? If I stop in Taipei or Hong Kong after Beijing before going back to Indonesia would it matter?

Bob, if you hold USA passport, and will stop in Taipei after staying in Beijing, you will be eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing.
However, if you will have a stopover in HK after visiting Beijing for less than 72 hours, you need to apply for a tourist L visa for yoru trip beforehand.
