How to reach Huangshan mountain top?

Hi, we're planning to visit the mountain this December. We're independent travellers. How to get to the top of the mountain? Also any suggestion for the hotels there (both on the top of the mountain and also the village) thanks!

If you will arrive at Tangkou (Zhaixi Transfer Hub) which is close to the South Gate of the mountain, I suggest you take a coach to Ciguangxi or Yungusi. Then catch Yuping Cable Car or Yungu Cable Car onto the peak.

Near to the upper station of the Yuping Cable Car, there is a Paiyunlou Hotel, which can be your choice. Or the Xihai Hotel can be the alternative, which is within 2h's walking distance from Baieling, the upper station or Yungu Cable Car. In the Tangkou Town at the foot of the mountain, the budget 1314 Hostel or deluxe one - Tangquan Hotel can be considered.
