About:China Student Visa

jw202 issued for my old passport, now i have a new one.

I have applied and been accepted into a chinese university, however when I applied with my old Passport, I was told my passport was too worn and had water damage. So I now have a new passport.

The problem is the Jw202 and the paperwork from the university have the information from the old passport, such as the unique passport number. Can I still use it in the application of my student visa for my new passport or do they have to send my new copies of jw202 and documents with the new passport number?

I was hoping just to send in both passports as proof I'm the same person but just had a rejected passport for damage

Gary, you can still use the admission letter and JW form to apply for the student X type entry permit. You can submit both passport if there is any need.
