One entry visa or two

I'm getting a tourist visa for when I visit Shanghai for 7 days and transit through Guangzhou airport of 9 hours on my return back to Melbourne. Do I need to get a two entry visa or just the one entry visa? I haven't left the country but going through immigration at Shanghai.

Hello, one entry visa is enough. As you mentioned, it will be used during your 7 days's stay in Shanghai. During the 9h at Baiyun Airport, just apply for a stay permit according to the guiding signs (you can also consult the airline about the matter beforehand). Then it is allowed to leave airport.
